An Interview with Juliette Cimetiere @jchorsetraining on her Horsemanship Journey with Cavalia, Liberty, & Classical Dressage

In this episode, I talk with the incredible Juliette from @jchorsetrianing. 

Juliette is a trainer based out of Redmond Washington. Her training methods focus on building a balanced, relaxed, relationship between horse and rider. She teaches dressage as well as liberty work (focusing on building a connection on the ground, on and offline). 

Juliette has over 18 years of experience riding training and showing horses in dressage, eventing, hunter jumpers, English and western performance. She has been teaching in the Pacific Northwest for 9 years, and has recently started teaching clinics locally and internationally, in British Columbia. Her training methods combine Natural Horsemanship, and dressage,  to create balance and harmony with horse and rider. 

In this episode we discuss:

• Juliette’s broad horsemanship journey including vaulting and clicker training, liberty, and classical dressage, to where she is today training a large variety of breeds.

What I love about Juliette is that she emphasises the importance of experimentation in training, trusting your intuition, and tailoring your training to the individual horse.

In this episode, I talk with the amazing @nzmares on all things horses & horsemanship! We speak about how she got started with horses as an 11-year-old girl with a 6-month-old horse, her journey with her 2 current horses Juno & Trinny (with polar opposite backgrounds), what she loves outside of horses, her secret to being so happy and positive, but also her experience with anxiety. We touch on social media- the good and the bad, her take on positive/negative reinforcement and the bit/bitless debate, who she learnt from and who inspires her, and why she actually does compete for her horse’s benefit.
