ZYNRELEF is the first and only extended-release dual-acting local anesthetic™ (DALA™) and delivers 72 hours of postoperative pain relief via a single needle-free application. It has been clinically proven to better manage pain than standard of care bupivacaine HCl solution over 72 hours and to significantly reduce opioid utilization following surgery.

-ZYNRELEF was initially approved by the FDA in May 2021 and in December 2021, the FDA approved an expansion of ZYNRELEF’s indication.

-Limitations of Use: Safety and efficacy have not been established in highly vascular surgeries, such as intrathoracic, large multilevel spinal, and head and neck procedures.

• Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) cause an increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, including myocardial infarction and stroke, which can be fatal. This risk may occur early in treatment and may increase with duration of use

• ZYNRELEF is contraindicated in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery

• NSAIDs cause an increased risk of serious gastrointestinal (GI) adverse events including bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal. These events can occur at any time during use and without warning symptoms. Elderly patients and patients with a prior history of peptic ulcer disease and/or GI bleeding are at greater risk for serious GI events

ZYNRELEF is contraindicated for:

• Patients with a known hypersensitivity (e.g., anaphylactic reactions and serious skin reactions) to any local anesthetic agent of the amide-type, NSAIDs,
