We're sure many people have been in a situation where you meet someone that you’re interested in, but they don’t necessarily tick all of your boxes. Which is totally fine, you’re never going to meet the “perfect” partner.  

That being said, sometimes we make the mistake of dating someone with the hopes that we’ll be able to change the little things we don’t particularly like about them. In other words, we think we’ll be able to change their habits. This almost always ends up being a mess and we can attest to it LOL.

Dating has been an absolute nightmare for us and I know we're not the only ones!

Between the catfishing, lies and straight up weird vibes, things have only gotten worse with dating apps. Don't get us wrong, there are some Bumble and Tinder success stories, we just haven't been blessed with any luck LOL.

We’ve spoken about this many times but it needs to be addressed again!

For some reason, we’ve been branded as “good” girls which have left us getting stood up, ignored and straight up embarrassed LOL.

In our mind, being a “good” girl isn’t a bad thing, so why does it steer guys away? All we hear constantly is that we’re intimidating or too much of the “marrying type.”

We’re honestly still confused as to why this is an issue. Why do guys not want a good girl? And what exactly are they classifying as a “good girl”?

Anyone that knows us knows that we are HUGE fans of Love Island. We’ve pretty much watched every season and are completely obsessed.

As fans of the show, there’s something that we’ve been noticing and it’s apparent to others as well. Every season, the black women are always the ones that are the most undesirable. We’re deemed as pure entertainment, or always ‘friendzoned’ by the men in the villa. Whatever the case, one thing is clear : BLACK WOMEN GET NO LOVE.

Today we wanted to talk about this issue and share some of our thoughts. 

It seems like everyone around us is either getting engaged, married or having children. And for us, we are constantly getting bombarded with the “When are you getting a boyfriend?” question. I know we’re not alone on this one!!

Sometimes, it’s hard not to feel like you're behind when so many people around you are starting families and in long-term relationships. In today’s episode, we talk about the societal pressures of getting married in the modern world.

Why is it that we want people who put in the least amount of effort, but run away from the ones who put in the work to show us that they're interested? These "minimal possible investment" guys sure know how to get the best of you. We've got a few of our own LOL. In this episode we share a little bit about our very own MPI guys and why it's important to read between the lines... he's just not that into YOU!
