Hot bread is your weekly, hour long floor filler show, from the late 80’s, 90’s to the mid 2000’s. In addition a few different Goin’ Country’ beats thrown in for good measure, getting you, and your mates, warmed up for a fabulous night on the town.
Tonight we are “Goin’ Country” because a favoured listener, threw down the gauntlet and offered a challenge, with a Reba McEntire song.
All of the music you’re going to hear tonight has got a bit of a country flare to them, and you’re likely to hear most of these tracks in the outback bars of Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, or pretty much anywhere that the dirt is burnt red, the kangaroos are bouncing and the Emus are running.
When partying in the outback you know the drinks are going to be cold, the flies annoying, and the crowd just a little loud. But just over there, standing in the shadows will be that one person you lock eyes on, and you know the night is going to be pretty darn amazing. Once that connection is made, that’s when the outback magic happens. What happens from there is entirely up to you, and what you eat for breakfast will be whatever is in the fridge.
You’re going to be hearing some of your favorites. Avicii, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks, John Denver and even Kenny Rogers. Also, Sammy Kershaw, Dolly Parton and the ever amazing Reba McEntire.
So lock eyes with that special person, entice them to the dance floor and let the magic happen. What happens next is up to you. Remember – Look out for one another, Be Kind, Protect our Dolls, and Always remember you ARE A SUPERSTAR

The post Hot Bread – Episode 21: Goin’ Country edition 29 November 2025 appeared first on Hot Bread.
Tonight’s episode of Hot Bread is called “Over The Rainbow” and is dedicated to my dear friend, and mentor, Bill Patterson, who passed away this week at his home in Trentham.
Bill
Bill was on the frontline, and a first responder, to the AIDS crisis in the 80’s and 90’s, and later came to mentor countless people to empower themselves while living with HIV. For me, Bill was my mentor both in NAPWHA and ViiV Healthcare. If it wasn’t for Bill I would not have had the courage to expect more when more was needed, and I would not have advocated for myself, in a time when advocating for yourself was most important.
I will always remember this quote from Bill, when I was inconsolable after the death of my lover. “How lucky we are to have someone that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
May Bill rest in Power.
Hot Bread
Tonight I have the pleasure of introducing one of the newest members of the Hot Bread Bakery team. You will know the Fabulous Adz, from Joy Daytimes and I am so honoured to have Adz on the team. You’re going to get a sneak preview of what he is going to bring to the bakery, and I know you are going to love it because everyone loves Madonna.
Tonight you’re also going to hear The Young Divas, Zara Larsson, David Guetta, Madonna, Kim Carnes, Christie Allan, Cormac and Chinaski. Finishing the episode with Killteq, D’Has and Klaas.

Hot bread is your weekly, hour long floor filler show, from the late 80’s, 90’s to the mid 2000’s, with a few freshly baked beats thrown in for good measure. Thereby getting you, and your mates, warmed up for a fabulous night on the town. And I am joined tonight by JOY Daytimes Presenter, CJ. Tonight is a very special edition, called InnerBloom, as we pay tribute to an amazing man who left this mortal coil just over a year ago. Today our Leather Community sent Hunter off on his journey to wherever he may go in the waters of the Yarra/Boonwurrung.
Hunter became different things to many people (Including myself). He was Sir, Brother In Leather, Friend, Lover, Confidant, Mischief Maker, Music Sharer, Dog Dad and Family Member. InnerBloom, by Rufus Du Sol, is a song that we have all held close to our hearts to remember him, which is the reason why tonight’s show is called InnerBloom.
“If You Want Me,
If You Need Me,
I’m Yours.”
Tonight you will hear an amazing gamut of music (Trance, Grunge, Dance, and 60’s Femme) most from the depths of Hunter’s heart, in a capacity that maybe only you understand. You will hear Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, U S U R A, Kosheen (With Marten Lou and Isidoros) Rufus Du Sol, Britney Spears, and DOP (Featuring RAHH).
There will be a Lipsynch Battle, including Garbage, Amy Winehouse and The Ronettes.
As we know, The 80’s, 90’s and Naughties were a time when the dress code was casual and you more than likely lost your shirt, but found your community. The dance floors were sticky, the DIVAS were uplifting, and you were likely to end the night at a taco truck, and “Getting bread – and coffee” with What’s-Your-Name. I truly hope you enjoy the tunes tonig

Tonight’s show is one to take you back to those times.
A few weeks ago I put it out there for your requests, and you all came through in abundance, and you will be hearing your requests tonight and over the next few weeks. Tonight you are going to hear Amfree and Ampris, Sabrina Johnston, Jewell, Joe Smooth, Sgt Slick and Marcia Hines. Tonight we have a range of great Dance Anthems for your ears, with a very typical bubbly show, featuring artists that we know and love including Cher, Eurythmics, Joel Fletcher, Mosimann, Frente, The Cars, and Belinda Carlisle. Ending the show with Survivor, Huntrix and Dj D.
The Lipsynch battle will have you realising why the show is called “There’s a good reason these tables are numbered, You just haven’t thought of it yet”. Panic at the disco might seem like an interesting choice for a Lipsynch battle but I guarantee if you put on your top hat you will figure it out. There is even a Gerri Halliwell stuck in there for good measure.
