It’s been a long and painful road for Misha Cooper. In 2016 she was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that threatened her survival. It also resulted in Misha waking up every day with joint pain, fatigue, and unexplained rashes, and whilst she’s now overcome the worst of the disease, the lingering effects have resulted in Misha losing nearly all her teeth. The love of a mother knows no bounds. We see it all the time here at Hot Cares, but every time we receive a related story, it’s a reminder that there really is nothing like a mother’s love. Woodside Sanctuary is a rather special place. It’s a registered PBO and NPO founded nearly 70 years ago and it’s a ‘home away from home’ for people with special needs. But, like many similar organisations, it relies on the support of donors, particularly with regards the maintenance of their facility, and this is where Hot Cares and The Dis-Chem Foundation have come in to help.
