A total of 966 out of 1077 Covid-19 samples obtained from international travellers between December 21 and December 29 last year had displayed “presumptive Omicron” after screening by the Institute for Medical Research (IMR). Of the 966 samples, 750 or 77.6 percent involved samples obtained from travellers arriving from Saudi Arabia. What do you think, after hundreds who returned to the country following their umrah were infected with Covid-19?

On 16 December 2021, a tropical depression made landfall on the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia, bringing torrential downpours throughout the peninsula for three days. The resulting floods, affecting eight states across country, have left at least 48 dead and 5 missing. During its furthest extent, it caused the displacement of more than 71,000 residents. Why do you think these floods happened?

Environment and Water Minister, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man saying that the public does not take weather forecasts and warnings seriously with many taking the warnings for granted as they thought floods only occur in the East Coast region of the peninsula. Who is to be blamed for the incident?

The recent flood has shown how the government is more concerned about post-disaster relief than pre-disaster preparedness and delivery. The slew of relief efforts is a good thing, but it is also the “easiest” part of the entire ordeal. Why were the authorities seemingly unprepared despite early warnings?

Reports shows that the current vaccinations are not as reliable to the new variant of Covid-19, Omicron, without getting the booster shot; and on that note, people who have been vaccinated with Sinovac are said to be losing their "full vaccination" status internally, if they don't get the booster shot.
