We get to find out a little more about the Vice Presidential candidates tonight in their only debate of this election. There will not be a live audience at the VP Debate in New York, but unlike the presidential debate, the microphones will stay on. For the last couple of months, Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance have been disparaging each other from afar, so tonight’s meeting will likely be extra frosty. It doesn’t help Vance that the Washington Post just released details about text messages he allegedly wrote four years ago calling Trump‘s economic policies a failure and predicting that Trump would lose to President Biden. 
We will run it all past Pulitzer Prize winning author and investigative journalist David Cay Johnston. 
Today is former President Jimmy Carter’s 100th birthday. ABC7’s Spencer Christian will pop by to talk about a special television event he is hosting in honor of President Carter.
A dockworker strike is looming and it could affect the economy. Lucky for us, we’re friends with an amazing logistics expert who understands exactly what’s happening. Jonathan Rosenthal will detail the ramifications of a strike at our nations ports.
