This month we are sharing wisdom and reflections from creatives involved in the justice movement. We interviewed 4 amazing people from a bunch of different circles in Columbus.

We have amazing guests this month!! Chrissy, the executive director of The InterReligious Taskforce on Central America (IRTF Cleveland), and Aramis, executive director of People's Justice Project (PJP). They joined us this month to talk movement, lifestyle, and also about their work in prison abolition, racial justice and international solidarity movements.

This month’s episode is about Filipino American history and its relationship with environmental justice.  We must understand that the United States has violently and consistently seized and controlled land in the Philippines for many years to benefit its empire. This continues today in the presence of military bases on Filipino land and the collusion of the US government working with Filipino dictatorial regimes to exploit the land and lives of those living in the Philippines. The implications of these international land struggles mean that for us living in the so-called United States, we are not separate from these struggles. In fact we are intrinsically tied to them. Our government sends millions of dollars in military funding to the Philippines every year. Our government is complicit in advancing severe human rights violations heralded by the dictatorial regimes in the Philippines. Imperialism runs deep y’all. We will discuss this later in the show in more detail, but chew on that.

This month's episode is all about bodily autonomy. We focus on the intersectional analysis of movements for bodily autonomy. We have two interviews with Liz Andromeda and Maggie Scotece of @abortionfundohio. Tune in to hear about what they had to say about disability and reproductive justice as we connect it to the environmental justice movement.

This episode we talk about how queerness interacts with environmental and climate justice as well as taking a dive into colonization's impact on queer bodies. Curious how the project of civilization has created oppressed societal structures? Come listen! On this episode, Vicky & Jordan interview indigenous geographer Dr. Deondre Smiles of the University of Victoria, B.C. We discuss the present and ongoing struggles in the contemporary environmental justice movement, with a big focus on pipelines! Dr. Smiles comments on local/regional examples of direct action and invites us to reflect on the meaning of direct action as well as the methods by which we cultivate sustainable resistance through mutual aid and self-care.

This month we want to highlight the ongoing struggle in Columbus against police brutality in the midwest, we want to shout out a group of community members working to shine light on Casey Goodson Jr.’s story and truth in light of the up coming trail of Murderer Micheal Jason Meade. Meade had shot Casey in the back 6 times as Casey was entering his house. Meade is just one example of the how policing has been used as an instrument of terror, because if not for the community outrage I don’t believe there would even be a trail. So help the community members share Casey’s truth to the people of Franklin county or your local region. We also want to highlight the case of James Williams, a father who was shot through his backyard fence by canton pd after shooting his firearm in the air on new years.
