In unserer neuen Hot Pot-cast-Folge tauchen wir tief in die faszinierende Provinz Yunnan ein. Von spektakulären Naturwundern wie dem Qite-Geopark und den tropischen Regenwäldern von Xishuangbanna bis hin zu historischen Stätten wie der antiken Stadt Lijiang – Yunnan hat viel zu bieten. Auch Elefanten haben eine lange Geschichte in Yunnan. Das Wort „Elefant“ („象“) klingt fast genauso wie das Wort „祥“, das „Glück“ bedeutet, sodass Elefanten in der Region als Symbol für Glück und eine reiche Ernte gelten. Auch die Esskultur in Yunnan ist reichhaltig und vielfältig. Berühmte Köstlichkeiten sind beispielsweise Guoqiao Mixian (过桥米线), Yunnan-Hot-Pot und Pu'er-Tee.

Juni in China stattfindet. Ursprünglich im Jahr 1952 eingeführt, reicht der Gaokao bis auf das alte chinesische kaiserliche Prüfungssystem, das sogenannte Keju, zurück – einst ein System zur Auswahl von Beamten.
Diese Prüfung ist ein zentraler Weg für Gymnasiasten, um an Universitäten zugelassen zu werden, und hat entscheidende Auswirkungen auf ihren Lebensweg. Der Gaokao entscheidet nicht nur darüber, ob ein Schüler eine Universität besuchen kann, sondern auch darüber, welche Universität er oder sie besuchen darf. Aufgrund des äußerst intensiven Wettbewerbs ist der Gaokao als sehr schwierig bekannt und die Schüler stehen unter enormen Druck. Umso wichtiger sind die im Anschluss folgenden Sommerferien zur Entspannung, zum Reisen oder auch zur Vorbereitung auf die Universität.

Vom belebenden Morgentee bis hin zu traditionellen Dim Sum – China bietet eine Fülle an Köstlichkeiten. Von allen chinesischen Küchen haben sich vier besonders hervorgetan, die als die vier großen Küchen Chinas bekannt sind: die Jiangsu-Küche, die kantonesische Küche, die Sichuan-Küche und die Shandong-Küche. Diese Küchen repräsentieren grob die vier Himmelsrichtungen Chinas.
In dieser Folge erfahrt ihr, welche Gerichte ihr unbedingt probieren müsst, was typisch für die jeweiligen Küchen ist und wie sich die Esskultur innerhalb Chinas unterscheidet. Habt ihr mittlerweile auch Hunger bekommen? Auch in München könnt ihr in den Genuss von Morgentee und Dim Sum kommen! Wir verraten euch, wo es unserer Meinung nach am authentischsten schmeckt.

In dieser Hot Pot-cast Folge sprechen Lili und unsere neue Mitarbeiterin Zhouzhou über Lilis zweimonatige Reise nach China, bei der sie zahlreiche Städte wie Hainan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai und Peking besucht hat.
Zhouzhou, selbst aus Shanghai stammend, tauscht mit Lili ihre Erfahrungen über berühmte Sehenswürdigkeiten von Shanghai aus, wie den Oriental Pearl Tower und den größten Starbucks Chinas. Zudem gibt sie Insider-Tipps zu weniger bekannten, aber ebenso faszinierenden Orten wie dem Pudong Museum of Art und dem Xuhui Flussufer, wo Einheimische gerne ihre Freizeit verbringen. Die beiden sprechen über kulturelle Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen China und Deutschland und wie Zhouzhou sich langsam an das Leben in Deutschland gewöhnt. Zhouzhous freut sich schon sehr auf ihren nächsten Besuch in China und wird Lili bei deren nächster Reise nach China ihre Lieblingsplätze in Shanghai zeigen. Harbin liegt ganz im Nordosten Chinas und vereint Elemente der chinesischen und der westlichen Kultur. Schon lange ist Harbin ein beliebtes Reiseziel, doch in diesem Winter hat Harbin mit seinem Besucherandrang alle Rekorde gebrochen und wurde zur beliebtesten Touristenstadt Chinas. Die Beliebtheit Harbins ergibt sich vor allem aus den Gegensätzen zwischen “warm” und “kalt”. Im Winter sinken die Temperaturen schnell auf -30 Grad, weshalb die Stadt auch “Eisstadt” genannt wird. Harbins Wärme bezieht sich vor allem auf die Herzlichkeit der Bewohner.

Dank des relativ neuen Regierungsabkommen zwischen China und Deutschland, haben deutsche Studierende die Möglichkeit auf ein Praktikum in China! Am Praktikumsprogramm können sich folgende junge Leute beteiligen:
