On this day today 24 years ago in 1995, The Springboks won the World Cup by beating New Zealand 15-12 at Ellis Park Stadium to win the final and record one of the greatest sporting moments of the 20th century. Former Black Caps Hero Grant Elliot is John's guest on Hot Sport this evening. Grant was born in Jo'burg, educated at St Stithians College and in fact played a bit of first-class cricketer here in South Africa before moving to New Zealand in 2001.

Elliott – who retired from international cricket in 2017, is best known for his six off South Africa's Dale Steyn to win the 2015 World Cup semifinal for New Zealand at Eden Park.

He played five tests, 83 ODIs and 17 T20 internationals during his international career. Grant will review the World Cup match SA vs New Zealand
