Hounds of Heaven is a call to discipleship.
Hosted by John Sheaffer, the show explores what it means to follow Jesus Christ beyond empty religion and comfortable…
The name comes from Francis Thompson's The Hound of Heaven, a poem about a man who flees God through every refuge he can find, only to discover that the relentless presence pursuing him was Love all along.
We are pursued so that we may be found.
And once found, we are sent.
The Hounds are disciples. Men and women called to pursue the lost with the same relentless love with which God pursued us. To seek truth without fear. To guard what has been entrusted to us. To confront darkness with light. To follow the Shepherd wherever He leads.
John is the creator of Greyskull Barbell and author of The Greyskull LP and STRIP: Lose Fat Find Yourself. After more than two decades spent studying and teaching human performance, psychology, behavior, and personal transformation, that road led somewhere beyond muscle.
Scripture. Discipleship. Transformation. Spiritual warfare. The Holy Spirit. The uncomfortable parts of the Word. The things we have experienced. The things we don't understand. And the questions many Christians are afraid to ask.
No empty words or going through the motions.
Follow the Shepherd.
Find the lost.
Welcome to Hounds of Heaven.
