We had a great time speaking to the lead singer and creator of the band Living Dead Stars! We chatted with Nox about so many great topics including how his music is a direct reflection of his life, how his music has had an impact on his fans and a really touching story behind the band name! He also told us why he chose the logo and we of course way over-interpreted what it meant but like he says it's like his music and up for interpretation so we were ok! Some other things we got into was his operatic background and being classically trained, his love of cinematic scores, how him and Spencer made everything work while being 7 thousand miles apart and a few different stories of his bad luck over the years. Plus working with Max Green of Falling in Reverse, doing live streams before it was cool and so much more!! Thank you for listening and we hope you enjoy this interview with Manuel!
On this episode we spoke to Zach Wager of the band Dead Animal Assembly Plant or DAAP for short. Now we have to add a disclaimer before this description and you'll hear it in the intro as well but I (Jim) forgot to hit the record button on our recorder and approximately 15-20 minutes of the beginning were unfortunately not recorded. Now Zach did tell us how to achieve world peace, the meaning of life as well as how to cure cancer but sadly there is no proof and Jenna and myself cannot remember exactly what was said! Joking aside the rest of the conversation was amazing and we loved talking with Zach about their stage characters and how they get to be themselves while not being themselves and how those characters have evolved over the years. We also talked about where they shot the video for "A Violent Breed" , the early responses to the new album "Bring Out Your Dead" and the reasoning for the delay of the release. Which of course is obvious, F'ing Covid. He also tells us about dealing with internet trolls, drunks and how important it is to be respectful to the fans. We also get into DAAP graphic novel, Marilyn Manson, Twitching with Andrew W.K., live streaming shows and new material for DAAP and other projects!! As always we thank each and every one of you for listening please give us a follow, rate and review our show and check out our Facebook page to stay up to date! Thanks again and enjoy this episode with Zach!!
It was an absolute delight and an honor to get to know the extremely talented Henry Sanchez of the bands Sangre and Brujeria! We talked about speaking espanol, our limited spanish vocab and how his wife and kids are limited as well but we assume it is way better than we are at it! We also discussed his upbringing, growing up in the L.A. area during the height of the gang era, his heritage, early influences musically and how he came to be a metal fan! What was impressive to us was his work ethic which started at such a young age. He also discussed the struggles and hardships of being a musician with a family and how blessed he is to have a wonderful and amazing woman who has stood by him throughout the years! Plus how important and what a giant supporter his grandfather was in his musical journey to the point that even in his last days telling Henry how proud he was and to keep going just made our hearts melt! He also told us about how Brujeria came to him and asked him to be in the band, how he's been so lucky to tour the world with those guys. We talked about songs, album art and videos for the new album Mas Fuerte que la Muerte!! We loved talking to Henry and as always thank you so much for listening and we hope everyone enjoys this talk with Henry as much as we did! Enjoy!

This was a treat and so much fun to talk to Norri who is in the simplist terms the drummer for the german neo-medieval-meets-metal ensemble Corvus Corax!! Since 1989, Corvus Corax has contributed significantly to the development medieval music. With mystical and myth-enshrouded albums like Mille Anni Passi Sunt, Corvus Corax awakened old gods and legends, while records like Sverker and Gimlie invoke Celtic and Nordic traditions and present the Viking culture in modern times. We spoke to Norri about life during covid and learned that he has spent much of his time teaching his children since schools are closed. We spoke of commercial success and near success like being chosen for Game of Thrones theme song only for the the show to go with someone else but they found some success in video game market with games like Dragon Age. We also disscussed insperation, research, importance of staying authentic and their operatic performance of CARMINA BURANA. We also learned alot about Norri himself like when he started playin instruments, who got him into metal, growing up in Germany and how he knows Sami Yli Sirniö of the great German metal band Kreator! We really hope everyone enjoys this and thanks for listening!
