House votes to end longest shutdown in US history

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a spending bill on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, which had lasted for 43 days. The bill was subsequently signed into law by President Donald Trump later that night, officially ending the shutdown.
