This week one of my favorite people and host of The Housewives Tonight podcast, Rit aka wivestonight Zooms straight into my kitchen and we have an awesome chat! We start talking about Monique and the counseling session she had with her Pastor and we discuss church counseling verses licensed therapist, if Candiace and Monique were ACTUALLY close off camera (we get the same flash back picture repeatedly) and the emotional investment this fight takes. Speaking of investments, we talk about how the Instagram/Bravo podcast community is so welcoming and encouraging and about the authenticity of podcasts and what happens when the hosts want to touch the sun aka the bravolebs that we talk about on the podcasts. And Ritt shares which housewife always tags him in her only fans posts.
We then take a bit of a shift and talk about Kamala Harris and how awesome it is that a woman of color was elected as VP. And we go a bit deeper and talk about her mixed heritage and the conversation surrounding it and Ritt breaks down the Indian caste system for me. Next we go on a wild ride and talk about Surviving R. Kelly part 2 (Ritt was a producer on the show) and how the law doesn't favor women of color. And we dip back into the Potomac waters and discuss how all hands really need to point to Gizelle (my problematic fave-ish)
Producing may be Ritts profession but this conversation was completely authentic!
