Getting moved into a home you want to live in is more important than saving a few thousand quid (as long as you aren't over-extending yourself).

I'm quite critical of Chris Watkin's market commentary in this video, because I think he's making a mistake. But I have enormous respect and affection for him.  

Don't miss out on a move because you prioritised money over the move. Make the move. You'll forget the money.
