The Ten Commandments is the most widely known section of the Mosaic Law and arguably the most widely misapplied. It is important to see that the Law is not a burden or a standard for us to achieve. The Law is a blessing for those who are redeemed.

God has made a covenant with His people calling them to obey His laws and to fear Him so that they can be treasured possession, kingdom priests, and holy nation. Through His people, they can bless nations.

As we’ve seen in Exodus, the LORD’s expressed purpose in saving his people from bondage was to make known his Name (6:7; 7:5; 8:22; 14:4). He wanted to proclaim the knowledge of himself among the nations, and in this chapter, we see that very purpose advancing.

Onesimus, a runaway slave, has found new life in Christ through Paul's witness. Paul makes a request to Philemon, Onesimus' master, to receive Onesimus as a brother instead of a bondservant. Paul makes the point that our relationship with Jesus must affect our relationship with those around us.

The Enemy is trying to deceive us to exchange truths for lies. Therefore, we need to know the truth, walk in the truth, and protect the truth.

Every generation of the church is called to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. Navigating the challenges of our time calls for truth and love.

Most nativity scenes feature the holy family, shepherds, wise men, angels, and barn animals, but the one character conspicuously missing is a great red dragon. In John’s vision, we’re reminded that behind the scenes of the familiar Christmas story lays a great cosmic war that has been fought since the beginning of time.

Self-righteousness is toxic for missions. A sense of moral superiority towards certain people or a naively optimistic view of humanity in general will lead to the conclusion that some don't deserve salvation or even need it. These self-righteous tendencies must be confronted before we will share in God's great compassion for the lost among the nations.
