This is good Friday. Tomorrow is tax day – April 15 – my birthday. The next day is Easter Sunday. This is a beautiful weekend and I am full of gratitude for so many things.
I just received an email from one of our new team members. I can't tell you his name. You'll know why in a few weeks. This young man is one of the most motivated millennial's I have ever met and in fact I just met him last week. It didn't take long for to figure out What Matters Most to this beautiful young man as he held his precious little daughter close...
This guy is not just a new member of our team - he's someone I'm looking forward to getting to know Over the next many years.
Here's what he wrote…
I'm reminded this holiday weekend that the story of Easter revolves around the celebration of Christ's victory over death. It's the day that God makes everything right, the day that God proves that everything sad will turn to joy. Living in the light of that victory and renewal provides never-ending joy.
And so, this special weekend, my prayer is that we will be restored and renewed with the joy of knowing that in this present moment God has claimed victory.
And, as a community and a team, we have the privilege of urging each other onward in the pursuit of that joy. And, most of all, we will have the opportunity to bring that kind of community and culture to the families we serve.
I don't know about you, but that gets me fired up! Have a wonderful Easter weekend, and I look forward to working alongside each of you.
Honor Our Father
We are truly building something special. Our entire team is focused on serving families in a way that honors our father.
I'm so excited about sharing every step of our journey with you right here on the Family Wealth Builder (FamilyWealthBuilder.com) podcast.
But alas I am not working this weekend. So, I'm putting together three shows or three episodes that will be scheduled to post while I'm celebrating with my family.
If you followed me for a while, you may remember a small group of people who met together in Friendswood Texas. We studied God's word together, we learned to love one another well, and we remain the best of friends.
Anyway, during one of our small group studies, we used this study guide called the bluebook. It was a wonderful little book that contains lots of writings from spiritual directors and leaders from generations past as well as a few who are still living.
I created a daily podcast Using the content in the little blue book. I hired a team to help me with production and I paid a few people to produce each episode. Most of the people on the team live in the Philippines and they did their jobs with extraordinary excellence.
So, I thought it would be nice to share A few of those episodes. Today, tomorrow, and Easter Sunday.
So, you're listening to day one of the cross – from the bluebook. There are many many more of these bluebook episodes on iTunes.
I'll be back at work on Monday and I'll give you an update on our kick starter. Until then, be thankful and be blessed because…
He is risen
He is risen indeed!
