Distractions, which usually are the triggers to procrastinate, is something that, as the word says, gets you “off traction”. Traction is when you’re moving forward towards your goals, distraction, is something that gets you off-track.
Our brain does it’s best to filter and to bring to your attention what seems to be the most important, but especially in moments we want to focus on 1 thing, we need to help our brain to manage and get rid of some of those distractions around us.
There are distractions you can on purpose reduce or block, but there will always be out of control distractions. The idea is to reduce the ones you can control, especially in moments you want to focus on 1 thing.
