In this episode, I explore the five stages of attachment and how they quietly shape our thoughts, behavior, and sense of self.
We begin with the real self — the simple awareness that exists before labels and stories. From there, we move into preference, where the mind starts choosing what it likes and dislikes. These preferences gradually harden into identity, the roles and labels we begin to call “me.”
As identity deepens, it turns into internalization, where beliefs and ideas feel personal and unquestionable. The final stage is fanaticism — when attachment becomes so strong that we defend ideas as if they are our own survival.
This conversation is an invitation to observe these stages within yourself, not to judge them, but to understand how attachment forms and how awareness can loosen its grip. When we see clearly, we gain the freedom to engage with life without being trapped by it.
