Many men don't know that the years of their porn use and of objectification of women is even that significant of an issue... until they realize this is destroying their relationship and they try to stop.
At that point, when the unwanted thoughts and cravings for people outside of their relationship persist, it feels overwhelming and defeating. They don't know how to handle the frequency of these things or why it's happening, and fear being honest with their partner about these unfaithful feelings.
This often keeps them hiding in shame and secrecy and results in cycles of shame, guilt, overwhelm and relapses. It's clear that overcoming this is much more than just a decision.
For women, when they become aware of what's actually happening internally for him, they feel helpless and hopeless. How will he ever be a faithful partner if even when he doesn't want these things consciously, they're still happening?
How will I ever be able to feel normal again and like there isn't a threat around every corner? How will I ever be able to trust him and feel chosen or connected?
So in this episode, we'll be sharing insights into this difficult topic and going over:
- What's happening for men when they're experiencing intrusive thoughts
- What NOT to do when this is happening (for him and for her)
- What you CAN do when this is happening (for him and for her)
AND MORE.
