How to improve your brain health and memory function...

How's your brain health? Weird question, huh?

If you find yourself typically feeling “off” in the way of being tired, easily distracted, down, forgetful, moody, or maybe even worse...you are probably dealing with some sort of brain fog or unhealthy brain function. It’s really no surprise, because our brains require a stream of vitamins and minerals, proteins, fatty acids, and sleep in order to function at peak performance and in this fast-paced, over-stimulated, and nutrient-poor world, it is no wonder our brain function is suffering (and our kiddos too!)

Luckily, as long as your brain fog, ADHD, mood disorder or Diabetes Type 3 hasn’t progressed too far (and sometimes even when it has), it is often 100% repairable. Wouldn’t it be nice to regain your focus, bliss, and clear-headedness? You can! How does it get better than that?

We have talked a lot about how what you put in your body nutritionally or in your environment affects your gut or your digestion and how that has an impact on your overall wellness and immune system, but did you know it also has a big impact on your brain? Moreover, how the primary impact stress has on the body isn't just on the digestive tract but through the digestive system and on the brain? Crazy right?

Mental health disorders like anxiety, ADHD, and depression aren’t the only troubles tied to brain function and what we put in our bodies. Alzheimer’s is now considered Diabetes Type 3? The simple fact is that what we do to our bodies with our environment, nutrition, and stress causes real problems with our squishy brains.

I have to take this opportunity to say, that I am a huge Walking Dead fan, so every time I wrote or spoke "brains" that is all I could think about during this research. Also - you're welcome - because now you are thinking about it too. And here is the obligatory shout out to my Walking Dead peeps -- xoxo. And if you haven't watched it - check it out on Netflix, you will be hooked. Yes, I am a comic #nerdgirl but you aren't really surprised by that, are you? ;)

How do you know if you are having brain troubles?

It sounds like quite the conundrum right, if I am having brain problems how will I know? Well for most adults, especially if you haven't had the trouble your entire life, you perceive a difference. And it can also be pretty easy to see in kiddos too. It would take up way to much time to list them all, so if you have concerns or questions, you can let me know! (Most of today's information will stick with grown-ups but I will do a special on kiddos and anxiety and ADHD soon.)

Here are some of the common symptoms you may be lacking in brain health:

Tired, fatigued, low motivation or inspiration
