Connie Blumhardt is the publisher and founder of the Roast Magazine and Daily Coffee News. Together with her team, she has published several of the most important books on roasting like the «Book of Roast» or «Green Coffee». In addition to that, they organise the annual Roaster Summits.

Few people have witnessed and helped shape the development of specialty coffee as closely as Connie. Through her publications, she has made in-depth knowledge of coffee roasting available to a broad public. In doing so, she has helped thousands of coffee roasters get started, while at the same time contributing to a significant overall improvement in the quality of roasted coffee over the past several years.

In this interview, she tells us, among other things, how she started publications such as Roast Magazine and the Book of Roast. But we also talk about what the coffee world looked like 20 years ago and how coffee roasting and coffee culture has changed since then.
