Mobile Housing company, VanHomes, has provided affordable solutions to building granny flats by installing expandable homes on wheels in backyards for elderly relatives and other family members to live in. 

These homes tap into existing plumbing and water systems and until recently were exempt from council regulations like DA’s. 

Luke Grant chats with Van Homes Founder and CEO, Vito Russo, about how these vans can assist during a housing crisis and the councils seeking to slap the homes with additional red tape.
