A former senior executive of  a global engineering company is now homeless, after being the victim of 'cuckoo smurfing.'

The online banking scam is a way of laundering money, where victims' accounts are used for proceeds of crime. 

Michael told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings his bank account was one of a dozen frozen in 2017 and 2018 by the Australian Federal Police, amid allegations of 'cuckoo surfing.'
