Greetings beautiful people! As always we send you love, peace, and blessings! Thank you once again for tuning in for another episode of, " How Did We Get Here?" with your favorite hosts Jay Carter and Skeens. On this fine evening we were blessed to have our brothers that we have rocked with for about 17 years strong, Chuck and Twiz. We discuss their perception and opinion on modern relationships and what the average woman wants. Then we give our take on the most recent Verzuz battle with The Lox vs Dipset... As real listeners and students of the game Jadakiss really gave this generation and education on what it truly means to perform and be an MC. Lastly we spend time discussing modern day dating in comparison to what it was like in the early 2000's. Are relationships better? Do men still know how to walk up to a woman and have a conversation? How do we as men contribute to the demise of relationships? Join us on the journey and let us know your perspective and experience.

Greetings beautiful people! Thank you for rocking with us on another episode of, "How Did We Get Here?" with Jay Carter and Skeens. In this Ep prompted by one of my sisters, we ask the ladies if we missed the mark by speaking as if most women want to be married in a healthy relationship raising a family? What are we missing that the modern woman wants? Do women feel like they missed it in life if they are more devoted to family than a career? Among other things, we spend some time discussing Simone Biles and mental health in sports and life in general. Is the focus on mental health actually leading to us being healthier or more triggered and fragile? Were our forefathers better at masking stress and trauma? Where does mental awareness end and heroism begin... We don't know but we want to spark the conversation from a place of love and wanting to gain understanding. Thanks for supporting us!

Welcome back to another episode of How Did We Get Here? This week we ask if it's time to cancel, cancel culture? Are we too woke to work together? Can Kevin Hart act? In his new Netflix movie "Fatherhood" Kevin has to deal with the loss of his wife while simultaneously being introduced to the world of fatherhood. Dealing with insecurity and self-doubt, he learns the true definition of perseverance and purpose. Have we found our purpose? What imprint are we leaving on our children? It's said in an Africa proverb "It takes a village to raise a child". My question to you is what does your village look like?

One of the most powerful words to ever be created is "Father". One could argue God's greatest example of love is that of a father. He's been entrusted to be the living embodiment of integrity, loyalty, perseverance, forgiveness, sacrifice, compassion, selflessness, both the emotional and physical security blanket. With so many positive attributes to offer, why does the media paint a picture of "deadbeat dads" running rampant like the plague, especially within the Africa American community? Why does there seem to be a concerted effort to demonize and diminish the impact of a good father? The CDC debunks that myth in a report providing evidence that the black fathers range #1 across the board in multiple categories! On this Father's Day addition of "How Did We Get Here" we want to pay homage to the fathers that are leading by example to move the culture and the respected communities forward, because action speak louder than words!

Thank you once again for tuning into anther episode of, How Did We Get Here? This week we touch on Skeens turning 41 and Jay getting hustled by kids at the jump park. We also recap the response by Rory and Mal, to the drama and turmoil from the Joe Budden podcast. It seems that they have had more stake in the business than we previously thought. It's all still a conversation about relationships and how lack of communication mixed with money can topple even the tightest of crews. Lastly we discuss the "overnight celebrity" of ex NBA player and "bust" Kwame Brown. Skeens lays out a precise breakdown of the controversial comments by Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes from the popular show, "All The Smoke." Many have jumped on the Kwame train and he is pumping out videos left and right averaging about 150K views per video on Youtube. Is Kwame justified in his spicy responses? Is he speaking to an overall message of pro masculinity and strong community... Or is he just a hypocrite that is using social medias love for controversy and drama to get clicks?
Thank you for tuning in to another episode of How Did We Get Here? This week we discuss the epic rise and fall of the Joe Budden Podcast! What did Charlamagne Tha God know that we didn't know, when he predicted the implosion of the Joe Budden Podcast? Was Joe right or wrong to fire Rory and Mal? Is money the great divider? We attempt to see things through the vantage point of all parties involved for prospective when asking the question, "How did we get here?" The failures of communication and proper business created a strain that even the most established relationships are unable to cope with....We also discuss Kevin Samuels vs DJ Envy and Envy's displeasure with Kevin's brash approach when addressing his issues with modern day women. Kevin's thoughts on the male female dynamics are insightful and brought to light an uncomfortable conversation that we must have. What is it about Kevin's messaging that is so disagreeable?
Welcome back and thanks for tuning in to another episode of How Did We Get Here? with Jay Carter and Skeens! In this episode we first of all send love to the special ladies in our lives on Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day to you and yours also. We then get into the topic of Kevin Samuels, Red Pill talk, and the disconnect between men in women in modern society. Why are men deemed toxic when operating from their natural state? Why are women applauded for their demands on men? And why do we have a "RealAphobia" with the truth? What do you guys think?
