In Wisconsin, 28% of Republicans and 14% of Democrats are not exposed to opposing views at all–be that in news or personal relationships. Remarkably, 39% of Wisconsinites aren’t looking at news at all. That is according to a report from Center for Communication and Civic Renewal. In light of these numbers, how do we understand balanced coverage and the role of local journalism.
