Hello! Today we have our final HDYM episode of the year and it is with none other than the incredibly talented Jerome Blazé ✭

I speak to him fresh off the back of the release of his sophomore album ‘𝐿𝒾𝓋𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝑅𝑜𝑜𝓂’ and in the lead up to his album launch that happened last week at The Lansdowne (which I very sadly couldn’t go to and had major fomo).

Jerome was super generous with letting me in on the BTS of his impressive album campaign. We talk all things KEXP, BIGSOUND, live setups/arrangements and burnout. This chat was such a pleasure! I can’t wait to see where Jerome ends up 🧡

Was so great to meet a band from the other side of the country and get to speak to them in the final countdown to their debut album ‘The Bliss’ coming out Nov 8th ⭐️

I asked them all about their recent EU/UK tour with The Cat Empire, coming up in the Perth band scene, and playing some shows in WA prisons.

Sophie has done so many of the things us artists would dream of yet she’s so real, relatable and honest!! <3

I ask her all about internationally touring, working at indie labels, the financial reality of being in a band lol, and what she sees for herself looking ahead.

Welcome back! This week I speak to concrete cowboys, The Slims ✭

As you’ll hear this chat has been a long time coming after bonding over the fact we all had the same burning questions about how the music industry works! I’ve seen them play not once but twice this month as part of their #Slimtember residency at the hottest club in town, Pleasure Club Newtown, and I’m now responsible for a spike in streams for their banger, ‘Faces’!

In this episode I ask them about their range of day-jobs, their growing South American fan base, what they think of the local Sydney music scene and whose in charge of the band bank account.

Hello wonderful people! If you've made it to episode 10 then wow congrats, if you're just chiming in now, then welcome. In this episode I ask Lindsay and Joab about the thriving Newcastle music scene and their long involvement with the community, I also find out how they got on the lineup for *Laneway* this year! 

We talk about how hard their manager ‘Coops’ hustles for them and what it’s like being teachers by term and musos by school holidays. I also hear about Joabs’ knack for social media and Lindsays book rec of the year, Allen Carr’s Easy Way To Stop Smoking.
