“Something’s off.”
That’s what a GM told me this week.
Nothing’s exploding.
Nothing’s technically broken.
But a year goes by… and you’re having the same conversations.
That’s not chaos.
That’s drift.
Drift doesn’t announce itself.
It doesn’t blow things up.
It quietly steals momentum.
Here’s the dagger line:
If you don’t review it, you lose it.
Most leaders improve… then reset.
Energy spikes.
A good week happens.
Then reality takes over.
Why?
Because improvement without reflection doesn’t compound — it evaporates.
Elite leaders don’t rely on memory.
They rely on rhythm.
The longer the gap between reviews, the more progress leaks out.
That’s not a motivation problem.
That’s a measurement problem.
Steal this line:
Reflection is how improvement compounds instead of disappearing.
If you want to go elite — shrink the gap.
Five minutes before you leave each day:
What worked?
What didn’t?
What improves tomorrow?
The shorter the review cycle,
the less progress you lose.
Lock it in.
