It’s September 5th Labor Day here in the US. It’s the 7th episode of our 5th season, welcome dear listener. I’m Paul joined by Enrique and Daz. We are here to review the Villa game and spend a short amount of time reflecting on where we are after 4 games. Thanks for joining us.
Part One - This is going to be good!
Jurgen - Top game, most convincing we’ve been in a long time. Looked really good in possession - close to perfect.
Team selection and predictions - didn’t want Darwen to play and it be like last season.
Szoboszlai - worthy inheritor of the #8 shirt? Hard work and the goal.
#8s who are 22 and have so much energy - made me realize how much we missed last season. 28 pressures from Dom and 24 from Curtis.
The defense - lot of Liverpool journos want to talk us down it appears. Joe Gomez, love that guy! Trent - performance and positioning
xG 2.86 vs 0.66
Officiating - Simon Hooper must be doomed, there is so little fuss in the games that he referees for us. Giving Liverpool a man advantage won’t be tolerated.
