I wanted to be okay, internally, with the fact that I thought differently — and that was really hard for me to do. In this episode of the Soul Script Podcast, I share the story of how I learned to trust myself when thinking differently didn't feel safe.
This journey began while I was still connected to the church community I grew up in and struggling with the idea of internal authority — the idea that I could trust myself even when my beliefs didn't align with those around me.
Through symbolism, character embodiment, and a deeply meaningful moment in Cambodia, I learned that transformation isn't about becoming someone new — it's about realizing you no longer need permission to be who you already are.
This episode is for anyone who:
Feels afraid to think differently
Is stepping away from a belief system or community
Is learning to trust their own inner authority
Wants to embody confidence instead of just thinking about it
Why thinking differently can feel unsafe
Internal vs external authority
Embodiment as a nervous-system practice
Using symbolism and characters to access new ways of being
Letting go of the need to be understood
Choosing yourself without needing permission
