How I PREPARE a potential client for a consult call that gets me HIRED by DREAM clients

There are 4 key things to do to prep them before the call. 

  1. This needs to start with an application when they book the call- YES this is NEEDED (I will teach you what to ask down below)
  2. Followed by an EASY way for them to book a consult call with you 
  3. Followed by a confirmation email with a zoom link after they book- yes I do all my consults via Zoom!
  4. Concluded with a reminder the day before (and maybe even an hour before as well) 

  • These can be automated!  

Let’s look at each of these in a little more detail.


  • 1. The application does not have to be super extensive or formal, but it should include certain questions that will make the consultation smoother, and give you information AHEAD of time, 
  • Including:
  • Some basic demographic questions about themselves
  • So you don't have to ask on the call- wastes time and is boring  
  • An overview of their past experiences, fears, preconceived notions coming into this experience.
  • How they envision their birth going this time- dream birth 
  • YOUR PRICES! 
  • trust me- this makes the call so much less awkward at the end and qualifies the lead before you waste your time on a call for them to say “I can’t afford it”
  • Have them choose if they would rather do payment plan or pay in full  
  • Asking these will prepare you for how to LEAD the call, and prepare them for the investment.
  • It also makes them feel SEEN when they get asked about their past, fears and desires.
  • This helps them connect with you and trust you
  • You will dive deeper into these questions on the call itself  
  • 2. From here, booking should be easy and should NOT be back and forth over text and DM! - use something like Calandly. 
  • This is a better experience for them, and less to keep track of for you.  
  • 3. Once booked, they should get a confirmation email from you with a zoom link to the call and a thank you! 
  • 4. Reminders are amazing as we are all BUSY and don't need to be showing op for calls people forgot about. 
  • This also shows a level of professionalism showing them you have your shit together  
  • These can be automated through a platform like Calandly mentioned above.
