When you get ready to move in together or buy a house, you’ll have to decide how you’re going to pay the bills and who’s financially responsible for what. Or one of you might want to put something in your name because one person has good credit while the other doesn’t.

But must you have your financial situation in order before you start dating? That’s not a question with a simple yes or no answer.
