When you are made an offer by an employer to work for them and you sign that offer, you agree to accept that amount of money no matter what. You lose all leverage, flexibility. And there is nothing wrong with that, if you are being paid an amount that takes care of all of your needs. If you sign for an amount that is less that what you "need", what happened?
