Music and praise is powerful. Music can ultimately change things.
When you’re sad, do sad songs resonate deep inside you? When you’re happy, do upbeat songs help you express your joy? When you’re in a bad mood and hear one of your favorite songs, it can completely change your mood.
It’s almost as if music refuses to be pinned down. It is so wonderfully forceful and beautiful in our lives, it is meant to be enjoyed, not analyzed.
There are over 160 songs in the Bible. One book of the Bible is all songs; it’s called Psalms - which means song. God gives us these songs and many others throughout the ages to touch our minds, hearts and emotions so that we can enjoy our relationship with Him with our whole being.
This week as we continue our message series "Not Just on Sunday", we're turning to God's Word to see how we can enjoy His blessing of music and praise.
