Publisher's Summary:
Emma has a job in television which is distinctly less glamourous and exciting than it sounds. She's managed to claw her way up the ranks from Tea Maker and Rubbish Collector to Second Assistant Director (heavy on the assistant. Even heavier on the second.).
So when she finds she's accidentally very pregnant and at the same time accidentally very sacked (well, less accidentally: she did tell her boss to stick his job up his bum), she knows things are going to have to change.
Luckily she's also accidentally the heir to a lovely cottage in Wimbledon, with a crazy Doberman-owning octogenarian as a neighbour and a rather sexy boy as an accidental tenant. But this baby is coming whether she likes it or not, and she needs to become the sort of person who can look after herself, let alone another human being - and quickly.

Snooze-fest
What would have made How Not to Fall in Love, Actually better?
Some kind of chemistry between any of the characters. I couldn't understand why any of the characters cared about each other. It was also very boring and humorless.
I wish that there was some kind of hint of romance throughout the entire book. I feel like the protagonist's romantic feelings just popped up out of nowhere. There was no driving tension throughout the book pushing the romance along.
The main character also seemed to have no drive whatsoever. She basically sat around doing nothing the entire book. Hard to care about her when she does nothing to help herself.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The voices, especially the male voices, were so stilted and odd and contrary to how the characters were characterized that it definitely took away from the book.
You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Not really. I listened to it to pass the time but it was a drag. I had to stop a few times because I just got so bored I couldn't bear it.
Any additional comments?
So so disappointing. Do not waste the credit.
Delightful
Such a fun and sweet book. I want to read more from this author! Loved everything about the story and narration.
Actually, I fell in love with this book
this book had me laughing out loud. I really didn't want it to end but couldn't put it down. Definitely worth the credit!
A wonderful funny feel good listen!!
the narrator was perfect! the storyline perfect! the characters hilarious and well... perfect! absolutely devoured this book and when I purchased audio... I couldn't push pause! loved this story and quirky characters and funny dialogue. will listen to again and recommend! (I'm very very picky, so 5 stars is very rare for me)
p.s. the only fault if any really was the development of feeling between heroine and Joe. felt there needed to be more said about how they connected. a progression of feelings.
Loved this book.
This narrator is fantastic. Love the British humour and quick wit of the author. Will be searching for other titles from this author. It was great!
