Intelligent Intoxication

How Obligations Dilute Your Joy

Listen Later

These are the 6 habits that will dilute your joy:

  • “busy” work
  • obligations
  • shoulds
  • seeking more
  • balancing your time and energy
  • a one-size-fits-all approach
  • An OBLIGATION is anything that you say YES to that was a NO or a NOT YET.

    Obligations dilute your joy by:

    • cluttering your life
  • deplete your limited time and energy
  • fill the space that must stay open for YESSES
  • I invite you to consider these questions:

    • When do you notice saying YES when you mean NO?
  • When do you notice saying YES when you mean NOT YET?
  • When don’t you trust yourself to decide what’s best or true for you?
  • When do you say YES to:
    • people-please?
  • avoid confrontation?
  • How willing are you to distill the unnecessary and obligatory YESSES from your life?
  •
