After offensive coordinator Brian Hartline left Ohio State to take the head coaching position at South Florida, the Buckeyes' head coach Ryan Day had two positions to fill. Hartline was also the wide receivers coach, and Day is turning to two different people to replace Hartline's roles on the staff.
