Welcome back, Pelvic Freaks. In this episode, we’re sharing our thoughts on the recently passed Texas bill that classifies vibrators as “obscene devices” and places a legal limit on how many dildos a person can own… yes, this is really happening. We dive into why this kind of legislation is deeply problematic, especially when it comes to sexual health, bodily autonomy, and the ongoing stigma around pleasure.
We also touch on the emotional and physical realities of life after a breakup. As pelvic floor physical therapists, we share some of the common patterns we see during this time, like pelvic floor muscle tension, pain, low libido, and a sense of disconnection from the body. We talk about how pelvic floor therapy can support healing and reconnection, while also naming that it’s completely okay to take breaks when you need them.
This episode is a reminder that you’re not alone, and that big life shifts can absolutely affect your pelvic floor. We’re here to support you through it.
