Our bodies are much more than skin and bone - they're made of energy, too! That's why Eastern medicine places such importance on our energies. They understand that if we don't tend to issues at the spiritual or energetic level first, those same problems can eventually manifest in a physical form. So taking care of ourselves is essential for maintaining balance – after all; what good does it do us to store up negative emotions?  Fortunately, self-movement (as part of the five selves) gives us an outlet to release these emotional blockages from our fascia & muscles so that we receive maybe even greater benefit when positive consumption outweighs its counterpart during metabolic activities like excretion and regeneration.* It just takes patience...and plenty of TLC!
