In this episode, Matt sits down with Harrison Hunt. Harrison and Matt have connections through the Master's Program at A&M and have continued to stay in touch. Harrison is currently on the Originations team at Capitol One's multi-family finance division. 

They discuss the federal reserve, interest rates, and how this all affects real estate investing, specifically with value. 

Harrison warns that if you're unaware of what's going on with the federal reserve, then you're flying blind in real estate. If you can understand what drives value for real estate investment properties, then you understand the federal reserve.

Now the term 'federal' doesn't mean its government ran. Our economy is run by what the federal reserve does. Take a look at what it is and how it dictates our business cycle. 

Harrison also discusses how important the debt capital markets are to value. If you're uninformed, you'll be surprised by how values are being determined or how it's valued in a debt market.
