An individual that’s been through so many immense life/work challenges that it’s difficult to understand how they’re still standing on the other side.

Immense challenges like...

😣 Being two weeks away from the business going under.

😣 Locations/sites burning down.

...which are both by the way, what my guest for today’s podcast has had to overcome.

Anthony Pender is one of our sector's most respected individuals - and for good reason.

He’s built an incredibly successful collection of pubs; namely:

✅ The Wire Mill

✅ The Somers Town

✅ The Gorringe Park

✅ The Victoria

And has built a reputation for being one of the most kind/hospitable leaders.

During my discussion with Anthony, we went right back to the beginning with his experience running his first site all the way through to present day… and all the good/bad/ugly in between.

At 24 years old...

Rose Mann walked into a boardroom full of landlords and sold the vision of Farm Girl.

5 years later...

She now employs 65+ staff, operates four different locations and has built one of London's most 'must-visit' cafes.

How?

An unwavering determination and focus on turning her idea into reality.

...and someone who *genuinely* does not take no for an answer.

Peter Myers is one of the most HUMBLE individuals you'll ever meet.

From starting out as a 15 year old server at Café Rouge back in 1989.

To now co-running Frontier Pubs (a growing collection of neighbourhood pubs across London)
