The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been stressful for many people. Fear and anxiety about your own health and the health of loved ones, your financial situation from job loss, and loss of support services you rely on causes many to wonder how I will make it. This can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children as well.
On top of it all, through public health actions such as social distancing, all of this can make people feel isolated and lonely which has increased stress and anxiety. Obviously, these actions are necessary to reduce the spread, but what about the mental health? How much of a toll is it really taking on people being able to take care of their mental health?
