3.     maľovanie (painting – as a „form“ of art)
4.     maľba / obraz (picture, painting – as an „object“ of art)

Adjectives to describe some art [„umenie“ is neuter in Slovak]:

7.     slávne (glorious)
8.     veľkolepé (spectacular)

1.     Čo je umenie? (What is art?)
2.     Umenie je tvorivá činnosť, ktorá vyjadruje ľudskú predstavivosť a zručnosť. (Art is a creative activity that expresses a person’s imagination and skill.)
3.     Umenie vyrába produkt, predmet. (It produces a product, an object.)
4.     Umelecký produkt sa nazýva umelecké dielo. (The product of art is called a work of art.)
5.     Osoba, ktorá vytvára umelecké dielo, sa nazýva umelec alebo umelkyňa. (A person who creates a work of art is called an artist.)
6.     Umelec alebo umelkyňa tvorí umelecké dielo, aby ho ostatní zažili. (An artist creates a work of art for others to experience.)
7.     Ako rozprávame o umení? (How do we talk about art?)
8.     Mám pre vás jednu celkom obyčajnú radu: (I have a quite simple advice for you):
9.     Keď premýšľate alebo hovoríte o umení, myslíte na to, čo cítite, keď sa pozeráte na umelecké dielo. (When you think or talk about art, think about what you feel when you are looking at a piece of art.)
10. Potom to opíšte veľkými slovami. (Then describe it in big words.)
