Stories & Lies

How to Catch the Biggest Fish (Remembering David Lynch)

Listen Later

This is a bit of a different show this week. On Thursday, January 16th, David Lynch departed our mortal realm, and went to the big cherry pie in the sky. He will be missed by many. His works are unique, timeless, and bizarre, and there is much we can learn about the creative process from him.

Mat, Tom, and Taylor sit down to chat about some of Lynch's films, Twin Peaks, and about how we can utilize some of his ideas about the creative process for being better GMs and better players of RPGs.

We talk about a variety of topics in this episode, from scenario-crafting to running pre-written stories, to fleshing out characters, and even table dynamics.
