If you have never attended a conference or have only had a bad experience, this podcast is for you.
You don’t need to go to a conference with the goal of selling your services to them. It will happen if you develop relationships.
Start with a local meetup, and work up from there. It might feel awkward at first, but go to them with a specific intent and it will work out.
Go with the intent of learning from others, and helping others learn from you. That is likely to result in business.
There is a real value in meeting people in person.
People will shut down and not be as responsive if you just try to sell them. Just go in with meaningful exchange of value, and the responses will be much higher.
Find a conference specific to your industry, and you’ll have much more meaningful exchange of value.
