There is so much more still to discuss about how we can defend against ongoing attacks on your federal funding. In this week’s episode, we're focusing on the second key piece of the strategy, which is shaping public opinion and getting members of the community to start raising their voices in support of your funding.
We need to make it deeply unpopular to cut funding for our work. To do that, we’ve got to influence public opinion about that work. We need the members of our community to grasp the full impact of our work and value it deeply. And we need them to see why federal funding is needed to make that impact possible. Once they’re with us on that, and especially when we help them raise their voices, it becomes a lot harder for the right wing to strip away that funding.
