When we think of a leader, we typically recall someone famous or an expert in his or her own field. What we don't often realize that we are all leaders in our own lives because we impact those around us.
For this week's episode of the Weekend Wellness Hour show, we dove into personal development and leadership with Dr. John Nab. Dr. Nab is a chiropractor turned corporate executive turned entrepreneur. He helps people and businesses become better versions of themselves by teaching leadership skills that we can use on all levels of our lives.
Dr. Nab shared with us how critical our mindset is to viewing ourselves as a leader. He walks us through ways we can develop a mindset that gives us confidence and helps us see how we influence others.
He discussed the importance of realizing that we exist on 3 planes: spiritual, intellectual and physical. We touched on the value of developing in all 3 categories to grow and fulfill our potential.
We discussed some important features of being a good leader: courage, character, consistency, servitude and more. We even shared on the need for perseverance and grit through resistance and obstacles.
One of the critical messages Dr. Nab shared with us: take action now. We can visualize all day but action and implementation is where transformation occurs.
After managing a national champion baseball team, a chiropractic college and a health care manufacturing company, Dr. Nab started Authentic Leadership Group. He is also a certified coach and trainer for John C. Maxwell's global team.
