I like this book.

Great book !

This book is so easy to understand ! I read Dianetics and it's not the easiest book to read, it requires a lot of concentration. This book has short chapters, and everything I read just makes so much sense. I think anyone should really read this book. If you're curious about Scientology, this is the book that will give you answers for sure.

A must-read

This book is a great read; if you're looking for some simple answers to complex questions about life, this is for you. Very well written and the layout of the book (in terms of print and so on) is very professional and user friendly. Would recommend.

Why didn't I read this 10 years ago??

I've heard, read and studied a lot about the mind, how it works,

and why it plagues us with negativity from time to time.

The information in this book made sense of it all.

It's easy to read and boils it down to undeniable terms that anyone can understand and benefit from so doing.

It explains the otherwise unexplainable and I can't believe this information is not common place the author so obviously hits the nail on the head.

Dianetics: The Original Thesis

Wanting to know the history and begining of scientology, I was directed to this audiobook. I found it very intreging and and easy to follow, The paperback book that accompanies it has all of the terminology and definitions. I would recommend it to all.

A Fascinating Portrait of Mind and Body

I found 'Dianetics' to be informative and, in my experience, quite accurate.

This book changed my entire perception of L. Ron Hubbard and his work. My whole life, my knowledge of Mr. Hubbard was fully secondhand -- that is, I knew only the slander and denunciation of the man and his studies. Having never exposed myself to his actual writings, I never knew any better; but, after randomly seeing this book at the local library, I decided to correct my ignorance, and I'm glad I did, for the book was a pleasant surprise. As it were, I found the "Dianetics" doctrine to be not only sound and logical, but, also, a mirror of my own personal experience in the nature of the mind (and, to a certain extent, the nature of reality and the universe at large). Mr. Hubbard employed different terms, and variations in perspective, on the topics in question; but, more or less, his conclusions echoed those I'd reached on my own, based on my own experience, completely independently (as in, not derived from the Dianetics doctrine, since I was totally unmet with it beforehand). Ironically, this book read much like a book I wrote myself, making the same points in slightly different ways and in different terminology; if I disagreed with Mr. Hubbard, it was only on lesser points.

Lives up to the hype

I discovered a lot about myself in reading this book. Specifically I realized why I was so fixed on the approval of others that it prevented me from doing quite a lot of things. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking self betterment or seeking to benefit others.

One note is that the book was written in the 50s, so there is quite a lot of terminology that isnât in use, and also quite a few medical terms that I didnât understand. But it came with a very large glossary and I was able to look up most of the worlds I did not understand in it.

Effective therapy techniques

This book has an easy-to-learn therapy technique that cab help you resolve a lot of physical problems and mental stress, without medications. I'very also help several people with it to handle things like asthma, autism, depression and anxiety. It also explains WHY these things occur, so you understand for yourself how your mind works.

Where negative thoughts and feelings come from

I always asked myself where negative thoughts or negative feelings come from. I found the answer in that book. Also through reading this book I realized how the mind was working and how the hidden part of the mind is making life difficult for me and for others. For the first time I could understand the people I work with, which makes life a lot easier.

Wonderful book

This is a wonderful book. I found it had a lot of answers to different questions I had about why I acted certain ways. I read his other books and found I got a lot more of a grasp on the subject as it expounded upon his discoveries from this book. I would say this is a great place to start and having actually received Dianetics this was a beautiful discovery for everyone who tries it.

A powerful message but a little repetitive.

Well worth a listen, but like many self help books it goes on longer than it needs it. By being overly repetitive it dilutes the power of the message, which is a real shame

A lovely reminder of how to live a happy and fulfilled life that costs nothing, but has the potential to make our wonderful world an even better place for all to enjoy! :)

There is something in this book for everyone even those who think they act perfectly. We all let our actions slip occasionally and this encourages us to recognise and regroup without prejudice.

Personally, I enjoyed this audio book whilst out walking my dog, which is always a joy, even in the rain, but this makes you enjoy it even more!
