Dr. Melanie LaForce is in an open marriage.

When she's not busy writing, telling jokes and being a DR ( which we never really talk about). She gives hosts, @WhoKerstin and @GreenberryLucas the inside scoop of what goes on in her bedroom and in the bedrooms she goes into with full consent of her husband. Her marriage is open and she is open to talking about it! Dr.LaForce also answers a listener's question about if her friend is trying to add her to his open marriage mix.

Dr. Melanie LaForce is a comedian, writer, and social psychologist.

Her original pilot, DAIRY QUEENS, is currently a quarterfinalist in ScreenCraft’s 2022 Comedy Competition. LaForce has performed at and trained with institutions such as The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City, and Flappers.

In 2018, LaForce’s coming-of-age humor essay collection, Corn-Fed: Cul-de-sacs, Keg Stands, and Coming of Age in the Midwest, was published by Thought Catalog Press.

In addition to her debut book, LaForce has written featured essays and humor for The Washington Post, Marie Claire, McSweeney’s, and New York Magazine. She is a frequent contributor to BUST.

Dr. LaForce was a Principal Scientist at the University of Chicago for 12 years, and taught social psychology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.

Melanie is a retired skater and trainer for The Windy City Rollers roller derby league.

LaForce’s debut memoir received accolades from feminist magazines such as Refinery29 and BUST.

LaForce currently lives in Burbank where she performs stand-up and works on original television
