The Jewish month of Elul is about getting your soul right. After spending a week with prayer, Kylie started this week learning about hitbodedut, where you seclude yourself, usually outdoors, and talk to God directly.

Rather than working with a guest, she’s taking the premise that “the King is in the field” to heart, and she’s going out to meet him.
